Be Kind Birmingham operates primarily through donated inventory, so needs and availability change regularly. These are the goods most useful to us right now.
Our biggest need right now
New underwear and tennis shoes—in every size.
We need new underwear for children and adults, including boys’, girls’, women’s and men’s sizes. We accept all types of clean, wearable shoes, but our greatest footwear need right now is children’s and adult tennis shoes in all sizes.
Every size matters, from young children through adults.
Warehouse drop-off: Donations may be placed in the large green donation bin behind the warehouse, located to the right of the red door. No staff member needs to be present for drop-off.

Essentials that move quickly.
These items support mobile pop-ups, partner closets, workforce needs and seasonal programs throughout the year.
Hygiene & laundry
New, unopened hygiene products, feminine products, body wipes, deodorant, soap and laundry products.
Workforce essentials
Interview attire, business-casual clothing, scrubs, uniforms and job-appropriate footwear when available.
Household basics
Useful household essentials and cleaning supplies that support families establishing or stabilizing a home.
Before you donate
Quality protects dignity.
We want every person to receive something we would feel good giving to someone we love.
Clothing and shoes should be clean, wearable and free of stains, tears and strong odors.
Underwear, socks, hygiene products and laundry products must be new; liquids and toiletries must be unopened.
Donation-bin drop-offs do not require an appointment or a staff member to be present. Place donations in the large green bin behind the warehouse, to the right of the red door. Please email first for especially large or unusual donations.
