Be Kind Bucks™ is a positive-behavior and experiential financial-literacy program that makes recognition meaningful, learning practical and participation fun.

Be Kind Bucks™ is a Birmingham City Schools Board of Education–approved program designed to build on each school’s Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) and Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) curriculum. Awards reinforce the behaviors, expectations and life skills students are already learning each day.
Recognize what’s going right
Teachers celebrate students when they demonstrate the positive behaviors and skills their school is already reinforcing.

Students practice budgeting, saving, goal-setting, comparison shopping, thoughtful decision-making and patience.
